EAR NOSE THROAT (E.N.T.) SURGEON SALARIES

My Professor in Medical school often joked - "A Specialist is someone who knows more and more about less and less " !

Well, knowing more about less certainly does not lessen those paychecks ...

An E.N.T Specialist or a Ear Nose Throat Surgeon or an Otolaryngologist salaries look like these figures ...

  • Houston, TX: $295,000/-
  • Los Angeles. CA: $ 320,000/-
  • New York, NY: $335,000/-
  • Seattle, WA: $310,000/-

How to be a ENT Surgeon in USA ? Well folks, to be one of them, you gotta do a year of general surgery residency training followed by four years of otolaryngology training. After that - either go out to work in the big bad world or stick in a bit more to do fellowships like Neuro-otology , Pediatric Otolarygology, etc...after that u may wanna super-specialize into external ear, middle ear or inner ear specialist....geeeeee was kidding about the last one arrite ! :-P

And yeah you guessed right...tough for IMGs - but never say die ! First aim for General Surgery. which is fairly easy and then work your way into ENT :-)

Speaking of E.N.T. Surgeons, I happened to read this news article about two ENT Surgeons - Richard Lipton, MD and Klarsfeld of Redding, MD decided not to limit themselves to surgery , but also building real estate !

I must be practicing ENT in the wrong place. Board certified, private ENT in Las Vegas, seeing 100 patients a week, and I hope to pull in $100,000 this year if I'm lucky...

If you are a Christian, listen. Your money has nothing to do with your income or position. Read Malachi 3:6-12 and do exactly what it says. Even if you are a grass cutter, you can be blessed and wealthy.

3/20/2008. You are retarded. Income is important when you need to pay back 200k in loans.

Why $100,000. Are you in an ENT saturated market?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7/22/2008) :

that is depressing only 100k

"Spelt" is British English and very much correct form. I'm sorry, but I find the fact that you do not know that rather hilarious in itself! Ha!

Ah Anonymous,

This may be off topic, but a misstatement must be corrected. While spelt may be a word, is was not used properly. Please view edited suggestion below.

"You SPELLED ear, nose and throat wrong. You wrote note instead of nose."

No need to get defensive about this we all make mistakes. I imagine the wisest among us accept clarification and move on toward a life of humble learning. Please do not confuse the definition of a word with its meaning.
